The Hummingbird Review

For any of you interested...
Here is my first officially published piece of poetry.  It feels lovely.

There are a lot of great writers contributing to this Review. If you have a care to, check 'em out!

Love, Cass

Rest and Reflection

Even a hummingbird sits down
Once in a while
For a split second; when no one is looking.
She pauses turquoise and lapis wings that
and dart
and dare
To rest a tiny moment
On the arc of an ivy
And studies a flower’s petal.
Not sipping the spicy-sweet nectar
She gazes deeply into the deep
Of the blue-violet petunia
And seeks her reflection there.
